Terms of Service

Effective October 11, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Shanghai Weiweidaolai Technology Co., Ltd., a company in Shanghai, China (“we”, “us”). They cover the Taileaf app, the Taileaf website, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Please read it too.

1. Who can use Taileaf

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 13.

If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.

2. The app, Apple, and these Terms

Your license to use the Taileaf app is granted under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). These Terms govern the Service, your content, and subscriptions. If these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA about the license to the app, the Apple EULA controls.

We, not Apple, are responsible for the Service and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Apple Account. Use your account lawfully and keep access to it safe. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You can delete your account in the app at any time (Settings → Account & Security → Delete Account). The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

4. Care teams

You can invite other people to a pet’s care team. Members of a care team can view the pet’s book and add entries to it. Invite only people you trust.

When a member leaves or is removed, they lose access. Entries they added stay in the pet’s book, unless they delete their account.

If the person who created a pet deletes their account, that pet and its entries are deleted for everyone on its care team. An entry that is also linked to another pet that still exists stays with that pet. If a member deletes their account, the entries and messages they added to that pet are deleted.

5. Your content

What you record in the Service, such as entries, photos, and messages (“your content”), belongs to you.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, copy, process, display, and transmit your content only as needed to operate, secure, provide, and improve the Service. This includes showing it to your care team, processing it with our service providers, and sending it to our AI provider when you use AI features, as described in the Privacy Policy. The license ends when your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

We do not use your content for advertising. We will not use your content in our marketing without your permission.

You confirm that you have the rights to the content you add, and that adding it does not violate anyone else’s rights or the law. If your content includes other people, make sure they are fine with it.

The Service does not offer a full export of your content. You can ask us for a copy of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. AI features

Some features use AI to organize notes, edit entries from your instructions, chat with you, and recognize pets in photos. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Check it before you rely on it.

Nothing in the Service, including AI output, is veterinary advice. If your pet is unwell, contact a veterinarian.

AI features send content to a third-party AI provider. The Privacy Policy explains what is sent and how to turn AI features off.

7. Subscriptions and auto-renewal

Taileaf has a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions sold through the App Store, billed monthly or yearly. The app shows what each plan includes.

The price and billing period are shown on the purchase screen before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.

Free trial: yearly plans may include a 7-day free trial for eligible accounts. The purchase screen shows whether you are eligible. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid yearly subscription and you are charged the yearly price.

How to cancel: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. You can also use Manage Subscription in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep paid features until then.

Refunds: Apple bills subscriptions and handles refunds under its own policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.

Price changes: Apple notifies you of price changes and, where required, asks for your consent.

When a subscription ends, your account returns to the free plan. Your existing content stays. Free plan limits apply to new pets, uploads, and AI use.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your Apple Account first.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law or to harm others. In particular, do not:

  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to share;
  • harass, threaten, or impersonate others;
  • interfere with, overload, or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
  • reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it;
  • scrape, copy, or sell data from the Service without our permission.

9. Our rights

The Service, including its software, design, text, and trademarks, belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you rights to them, except the right to use the Service.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe content in the Service infringes your copyright, email contact@taileaf.com with:
  • the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
  • where the material is in the Service, in enough detail for us to find it;
  • your name, address, phone number, and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove or disable access to the material and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.

11. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may change, add, or remove features. If a change materially reduces the Service you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if the law requires it. Except where urgent, we will tell you why.

You may stop using the Service at any time. If we decide to shut down the Service, we will give you reasonable advance notice.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, AND (B) US$50.

Some states and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In those places, some of the above may not apply to you, and our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs we incur from third-party claims caused by your content or by your breach of these Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at contact@taileaf.com. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.

If we cannot resolve it, you may bring a claim in a court with jurisdiction where you live, or in small claims court. These Terms do not take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Before a material change takes effect, we will notify you in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, the updated Terms apply. A change to the dispute terms does not apply to a dispute that arose before the change.

17. General

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Apple EULA are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, and we will tell you. We may send notices in the app or by email. The English version of these Terms controls.
